Finding a New Feed Reader

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

If you follow a lot of blogs (hopefully including this one!), you may have heard that google reader is apparently shutting down soon. I’m super bummed because I love using google reader to follow my favorite blog in one place in an organized way, but it is what it is. I’ve been using feedly lately and am pretty happy with it, but another popular option is bloglovin.

Feedly is a lot like google reader (you can even log in with your google reader account). It has several visual layout options for you to play with (via the four icons in the top right of the picture below). If you want to get started with feedly, just visit www.feedly.com. If you want to follow me there once you have an account, you can search for starsandsunshine.com in the sidebar or click .

Bloglovin is easy to use and add new blogs too. If you want, you can follow Stars & Sunshine on bloglovin too!

And of course you can still keep up with Stars & Sunshine in a variety of other ways through the buttons on my sidebar, including email, , , and .

I’m still not sold on either feedly or bloglovin, so if you love one of these (or a different feed reader!) I’d love to hear about it.

  1. Julia,
Thanks for your information on Feedly & Bloglovin! It came at the perfect time for me. I have recently gotten pulled into the wonderful world of blogs in the last 4 months or so. I have started following a few but haven’t signed up for a reader yet and I know I am missing posts. I am a PCer with an iPhone but I am going to be moving over to a Windows Phone in the very near future, I also have the Microsoft Surface, so that weighs into my decision heavily. Well, I want to let you & your readers know that it was announced just today that Feedly is developing and will be releasing an app soon for Windows 8, the Windows Phone & The Surface.

I also looked at Bloglovin but it isn’t as Windows friendly. So, I will be happily reading your blog through Feedly soon!

I also want to let you know that I love the Dahlia and I have a fantastic idea to try it out with a twist! When I get it done I will send you a picture!

    Thanks again,
    Aileen (ImaCraftiMama)
