Package Pals

Last month, I signed up for a swap called Package Pals at C.R.A.F.T. You get paired up with another crafty person, get to know each other via email, and then send a crafty care package in the mail a month later! I got paired up with Meaghan, and now that she’s gotten the package I sent her I wanted to show off what I made!

I’ll be putting up separate posts with more details on each of the three projects I made, but here’s some brief info on each of the items I included:

• State love pillow pillow cover (it’s double sided!) Meaghan and her husband used to live in California and now live in North Carolina – and are in love with both locations. The other side of the pillow has North Carolina with a heart where they currently live.
• Faith embroidery – they recently got approved for adoption (!) and Meaghan said this is a quote that’s meant a lot to them in waiting to find out what will happen with that process.
• A bowl in the shape of an ‘S’ – their last name starts with an S. I made this out of polymer clay, and I carved their last name into one of the sides of the bowl as well.
• 1/4 yard pieces of two cute animal fabrics – Meaghan loves fabric with cute prints and is working on I-Spy quilts for her nieces/nephews, and loves zoo animals – so I thought these would be fun prints for her.
• neon embroidery floss – she wants to try hand stitching and likes neon colors, so I thought these would be fun too.

Meaghan sent me a great frame with an adorable stenciled robot on it with some fun craft supplies I love (thanks!). I had a great time getting to know another crafty friend, and really enjoyed putting together a package of crafty goodies for her (and, of course, getting my own personalized crafty package in the mail!)
